This summer, my entire extended family on my dad’s side took a two-week trip out west to the Pacific Northwest. Yes, I said extended family and two weeks. On our way back to Michigan from Myrtle Beach, we decided to stop in Washington, D.C. Mike and his parents had never been there, and I hadn’t since I was in 8th grade.
