Where Have I Been??

 

Hello! It’s been a minute…more like a century since my last post. My last post was in April of 2016. I’m sad to say I haven’t kept up with blogging, but a LOT has happened! I got super busy at work, kept working our debt snowball, got engaged, started planning a wedding, got married, put my nose to the grindstone at work to get promoted, went on an awesome two week trip to Europe, moved to a new apartment, Mike got a promotion, we decided we officially wanted to move back to Michigan, and finally moved in December 2018 after Mike received a great job offer! I’m sure I’m missing a few key highlights in there as well… I do want to revisit the awesome things that have happened over the past few years and make some blog posts with the main intention of documenting the memories and pictures! Life surely is crazy.

During my family trip to the West Coast this summer, I was lucky enough to visit Seattle. “The Emerald City” is somewhere I have wanted to go for almost as long as I can remember (and no, it has nothing to do with being a Grey’s Anatomy fan – although I will admit that didn’t deter my desire!) Visiting Washington, DC!

On our way back to Michigan from Myrtle Beach, we decided to stop in Washington, D.C. Mike and his parents had never been there, and I hadn’t since I was in 8th grade. The time of year we went was perfect – very little tourist traffic because their peak season was just ramping up. We were there a short time, Tuesday-Friday in the second week of March.
